There are rebates that are offered for high-efficiency air conditioners. The rebate amounts are usually determined by the installation date and efficiency of the unit, and range from $300 to $400.
Eligibility Requirements
There are several requirements that must be met before qualifying for a rebate. They include:
- The equipment must be new
- The equipment must be installed by a professional contractor in accordance to the local state codes
- The equipment should be already installed and running before requesting a rebate
- The equipment must be used to replace already existing natural gas equipment used for similar purposes
- The unit must be installed in a single-family abode or a multi-family abode that comprises of at most three units
